Classification of chemical reagents

There are many kinds of chemical reagents, and the classification method is not unified at present. According to some "- use chemical composition" classification, such as inorganic analytical reagent, organic reagents, biochemical reagents and so on; some of the "use of subject classification, such as general reagents, reagent analysis and so on; some according to the purity or storage requirements.

According to the "use - chemical composition" category

Many foreign companies such as Merck reagent, Germany (E.Merck), Switzerland Foluka (FLuKa) company, Kanto chemical company Japan and China are using this reagent directory management, classification method.

In 1981, the preparation of chemical reagents business directory, will be more than 8500 kinds of reagents into ten categories, each of which is divided into several sub categories.

Inorganic analytical reagent (Analyticl reagents Inorganic)

For the chemical analysis of inorganic chemicals, such as metal, non metallic oxide, acid, alkali, salt and other reagents.

Organic classification reagent (Analyticl reagents Organic)

Organic chemicals used in chemical analysis, such as hydrocarbons, aldehydes, ketones, ethers and their derivatives.

(reagents Specific)

Some organic reagents in inorganic analysis determination, separation, special enrichment elements, such as precipitation agent, chromogenic agent, chelating agent etc.. The reagent has high sensitivity and high selectivity.

Reference reagent (standards Primary)

Mainly used to calibrate the concentration of standard solution. The reagent is characterized in that the purity is high purity, less impurities, good stability, and a constant chemical composition.

The standard material (Standard substance)

Chemicals used in chemical analysis, instrumental analysis, or chemicals used in calibration instruments.

The indicator and test (Indicators and test papers)

Used in titration analysis to indicate the end of a titration, or to test for the presence of some reagents in a gas or solution. A strip of paper that is impregnated with an indicator or reagent solution is a test paper.

The instrument analysis reagent (Instrumental analytical reagents)

Reagent for instrumental analysis.

The biochemical reagent (Biochemical reagents)

Reagent for life science research.

9 high purity material (High purity material)

Used for some special industrial materials (e.g., electronic industrial materials, single crystals, optical fibers) and some trace analytical reagents. Its purity is generally in the 9 "4" (99.9%) above, impurities in the control of one in a million or even ppb.

Yejing (Liquid crystal)

Liquid crystal is the abbreviation of liquid crystal, it has the characteristics of liquid flow, surface tension and other liquid, but also has the characteristics of optical anisotropy, birefringence and other solid crystal.

2 according to "use - discipline" classification

In 1981, the Chinese society of chemical reagents provides ammonium reagent use and subject classification, the reagent is divided into eight categories and a number of sub categories.

Universal reagent

Under the General inorganic reagents, general organic reagents, teaching reagents, such as the 8 sub category.

High purity reagent

Analytical reagent

Sub standard and standard reagents, inorganic analysis with sensitive reagents, organic analysis with special reagents, such as 11 sub categories.

Instrument analysis special reagent

Reagent, reagent for nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, ultraviolet and infrared spectrum reagent 7 sub category.

Reagents for organic synthesis

The following 8 sub categories: basic organic reaction reagent, protective gene reagent and phase transfer catalyst.

Clinical diagnostic reagents

Under the general reagents, biochemical test reagents, such as the 7 sub categories of radiation immune test reagents.

The biochemical reagent

Sub alkaloids, amino acids and their derivatives, such as the 13 sub category.

New type of basic materials and fine chemicals

Under 7 sub categories of chemicals used in the electronic industry, chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, etc..

In addition, chemical reagents can be divided into high purity reagents, reagent grade, analytical reagent pure chemical reagents; or by reagent storage requirements and divided into perishable reagents, dangerous chemical reagent and reagent storage.
